The Artist

Native to the hard working Western cultural of North Central Montana, and the every day joy of family, friends and neighbors that live the farming and ranching lifestyle. At a very young age I found myself inclined to draw, paint and sculpt. Although much of my early work was committed to portraits and Western landscapes in oil, I also found illustrated charcoal as a unique medium and challenge. I am inspired by the many artists and genres, but more especially by those that make their talent - their living. In my late teens my father introduced me to Montana artist, Bob Scriver, and in my twenties it was the style and art of James Bama that deeply cultivated my desire for illustration and realism.
